RiSingya is a funny yet progressively turning darker story about Music Producers and The World's End ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ full of absurd, dynamic action and bittersweet content.
This project originates from my silly comic series that I've originally started to make in September 2007, but the main core of it has been born around 3 years later - the majority of characters that belong to this project now had their first concepts made in 2010-11 (only a few of them were added years later, when I was doing a comeback to this lore).
I hadn't been into it for all that time, of course I had my other projects as well, I had multiple coming backs to it and I was always trying to find a right form for it; the whole thing is very meaningful to me personally and I'm mentally bonded with it on a spiritual level, no matter how silly it may look. While I'd love to turn it into a professionally looking comic someday, I highly doubt it's possible for me, I am physically unable to do it, I had several attempts and they never ended up good. I've always been saying I'm a better storyteller than an artist, no matter how hard I would try to develop my artstyle, there probably have to be at least three of me to create such a comic/webtoon, I simply don't have enough of strenght/patience/motivation/time. As for now, I've been trying to turn it into a light novel kind of, and share lore bits all around because I won't shut the hell up about it. Yes, I'm writing it in my native language (but I do have some stuff in English as well). The graphic content for this lore is quite important as well, and I admittedly pay a bit more attention to the details while drawing them than while drawing characters from my other projects, and I collect others' art of these guys as well!
Note about the world
The world called Terra Alsingya Luxaris, often shortened to Singya, is an Earth, but in different dimension, not placed in the same point in universe; one of many, according to Zefir, versions of it, one of the most distorted mirror dimensions. Yes, it's very similar, but it changes a bit from our world, there are some geographic differences and changes in historical events as well.
IMPORTANT: RS is not a futuristic story. You may come across weird years on my ocs' profiles, but they're not from future. Speaking from 2025, they're actually from the past, as their story starts in 2202, which is literally our 2011. They just have a bit different dating system.
Shortcut
RiSingya starts as silly, lighthearted story about music producers and their daily struggles, at some point taking turn into something more darker, due to Armin's connection with the strange cosmic phenomenon, Zefir. The plot mainly focuses around the Armin-Charlie-Elliot trio, and the second point of focus is Hazel, whose story isn't directly related to the trio's. The more time passes by... the more strange and worrisome it becomes... as the Thing that Armin deals with is more mighty and incomprehensible than anyone could expect, and it's going to have influence on everything and everyone.
So, they're just... having fun before apocalypse comes.
Even though it is not simply a romance focused story, RS is definitely my most love-focused project... featuring m a n y different forms of Love.Notes
• the main story lasts for nearly two years, but there's also a lot of throwbacks presenting the characters' past.
also, it hides a mystery. and it contains... experiments with time and dimensions.
• it doesn't really have much nsfw content present, but it includes uncomfortable topics, such as suicide attempts, drug usage and abusive parents.
• the profiles (on TH) don't include all the informations I have about the characters/story, in most of cases they don't include the information about character's final destination.
• yes, RS includes some silly real life references. :')
• everything is and probably will be a WIP forever, but I want to share it with world no matter what.
• while the general form and the story's final destination have been very clear for me since long time, plenty of the events between the start and the end are still a mystery to me!
• I'm preparing a website for them (for now only in PL)!
I really appreciate any attention given to this project, the truth is that I've been gatekeeping this whole lore for over 5 years :'0
